Sanaa is a beloved Table Service restaurant located in Kidani Village. This is an excellent restaurant — and is very underrated — therefore it’s usually easy to snag a reservation. The Resort’s Quick Service restaurant, Mara is open morning to night and offers great food and poolside dining. Disney Vacation Club Members will not be charged for standard overnight self-parking when staying at a DVC Deluxe Villa, regardless of whether they use vacation points or another form of payment. Members also will not be charged to park when using vacation points to stay at another Walt Disney World Resort hotel. It’s a lot like Aulani (Disney’s Resort in Hawaii) in that regard, as a destination unto itself with so much to see and do that you won’t feel you’re missing anything by staying in the resort.

There is less artwork in the room but it’s still a nice space. On the other hand, I loved the decor in the living room. As you see in the photo above, the table and bench are a focal point. Extending the architecture style we see in the lobby into the room with pieces like the bench is a nice thematic choice. I really like the hanging lamps and painted plates by the table as well. The couch is another pull-out and the chair turns into a twin size bed.

While Aulani and Animal Kingdom Lodge are very different thematically, both share that–and authentic design by Imagineer Joe Rohde and his team–in common. Without question, Jambo House is the resort I’d pick if I were doing a long “no parks” weekend at Walt Disney World.

The location is pretty prime here, and you can see a good selection of animals like pelicans, geese, giraffes, zebra, wildebeest, and others. Since I’ve already reviewed Animal Kingdom Lodge – Jambo House as a whole, I’m not going to dive deep into the hotel today. In short, we love Animal Kingdom Lodge and recommend it. The location isn’t great, unless you’re focusing on Animal Kingdom, but the hotel is unique, beautiful and has great amenities. Any balloons brought to the resort (from the theme parks, for example) will have to be checked with bell services for the duration of the guest’s stay. This information might be helpful to families with younger children, so there are no disappointments when returning to the resort.

There are also a range of views, including either one of the savannas, landscaping, pool, or the parking area. If you’ve researched hotels at Walt Disney World, you know the basics. The savanna view does cost extra (in points or dollars), but we feel it’s worth it once, especially for those who will be spending a lot of time in the room.
